Radhashatami is celebrated on the appearance day of Srimathi Radha Rani, the supreme Goddess, the feminine counterpart and internal potency of Lord Krishna. It is celebrated on the eighth day Ashtami of the bright half of the lunar month of Bhadrapada (Aug-Sep), after 15 days of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Radhashtami is celebrated by fasting, worshipping Srimathi Radharani and Bhagavan Srikrishnan, annadhanam, cultural programs, music, dance and a procession of Srimathi Radha Rani and Bhagavan Sri Krishnan. Devotees who worship Radha Rani will be spiritually uplifted and freed from sins. Worshiping Srimati Radha Rani will help to please Lod Sri Krishna and all other Goddesses.
